Home cleaning that fits your week
Not every home needs a live-in helper. If you are looking for home cleaning services in Singapore without the commitment of a full-time hire, Femme5’s part-time cleaners come in on the days that suit you, whether that is once a week, every fortnight or a single visit before guests arrive.
Each visit is planned around your home’s size and what you need done, so you know how long the clean will take and what it will cost before we arrive. This page explains what a regular clean covers, what it costs, how to get ready for your first visit and how part-time cleaning compares with hiring a live-in helper.
What a regular clean covers
- Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors
- Dusting and wiping surfaces, shelves and furniture
- Cleaning kitchen counters, sinks and the outside of appliances
- Cleaning toilets, basins, showers and mirrors
- Emptying bins and general tidying
Need more than a routine clean? Book a deep clean for built-up grime, or add extras such as oven, fridge or mattress cleaning to any visit.
What we do not do
Our household cleaning services cover the inside of your home. We do not service aircon units, and we do not do grouting or renovation work. If your home has just been renovated, our post-renovation cleaning is the right booking, as dust and paint marks need more time than a regular visit allows.
Who part-time home cleaning suits
Regular house cleaning services work well for many kinds of households in Singapore:
- Working couples and young professionals who want their weekends back but do not need help every day.
- Smaller homes, such as studios and 2-room or 3-room flats, where a few hours a week keeps everything in order.
- Families between helpers, who need the house kept up while they look for a new live-in helper.
- Households hosting guests for a festive gathering, a birthday or visiting relatives, who just want a one-off visit.
- Homes with a live-in helper who could use an extra pair of hands now and then, for example before a big family event.

What drives the cost
- Home size. A studio or 1-room flat usually takes about 2.5 hours, while a large landed or multistorey home can take up to 8 hours.
- Weekday or weekend. Weekend visits cost $5 more an hour, so a 4-room flat is $100 on a weekday and $120 on a weekend.
- Type of clean. A deep clean takes the same time per home type in the table but is charged at the deep cleaning rate.
- Add-ons. Extras such as oven cleaning ($40), fridge cleaning ($40) or mattress cleaning (from $70) are added to the visit total.
As a worked example, a 4-room flat cleaned every fortnight on weekdays is $100 a visit, or about $200 in a month with two visits, before any add-ons. The same flat cleaned every week would be four or five visits a month, depending on the month.

How booking works
- Tell us about your home. Send an enquiry or WhatsApp us with your home type, preferred days and anything that needs extra attention.
- Get your quote. We confirm the hours, the rate and any add-ons.
- We clean. Your cleaner arrives at the agreed time. For regular visits, we keep the same schedule each week.
How to choose how often to book
There is no single right schedule. A few simple questions help you decide:
- How many people live at home? Larger households, young children and pets mean floors and bathrooms get dirty faster, so weekly visits usually make sense.
- How much do you cook? Daily home cooking leaves grease on counters and stovetops, which is easier to remove when it is cleaned often.
- How much tidying do you do yourself? If you keep on top of dishes and laundry, a fortnightly clean may be all you need.
Singapore’s humid climate also plays a part. Bathrooms and corners with poor airflow can develop mould if they are left too long between cleans, so regular visits help keep them fresh.
Getting ready for your first visit
- Clear counters, tables and floors of personal items, so every surface can be reached.
- Put away valuables, documents and anything fragile.
- Tell us about delicate surfaces such as marble, timber or natural stone.
- Let us know about pets, and any rooms we should skip.
- Mention any cleaning products you prefer us to use or avoid, for example because of allergies or young children.
Keeping your home fresh between visits
A few habits between cleans make each visit go further:
- Open windows or run a fan after showers to help bathrooms dry.
- Wipe the stove and counter after cooking, before grease sets.
- Empty kitchen bins often in hot weather to keep pests away.
- Remove stagnant water around the home. The National Environment Agency’s Mozzie Wipeout steps include lifting and emptying flowerpot plates, overturning pails, changing water in vases and keeping roof gutters clear.
If you clean between visits, stay safe with cleaning products. Never mix bleach with ammonia or acidic cleaners, as this can release harmful fumes. Keep the room ventilated, and test any new product on a hidden spot first.
Cleaning, cooking or a live-in helper?
If you also want help with cooking, see our part-time helper service. If you need daily help with housework, children or an elderly parent, a full-time live-in helper may be better value over a month.
It helps to know what each option involves. With part-time Singapore cleaning services, you pay only for the hours booked. When you hire a live-in helper, you become her employer. That means paying her salary and, under Ministry of Manpower rules, a monthly levy of $300 for your first helper (or $60 if you qualify for the concessionary rate), buying medical insurance with at least $60,000 of annual cover, providing suitable accommodation and giving her rest days. You can read the full requirements on the MOM website.
Some families start with part-time cleaning and move to a live-in helper as their needs grow, for example when a baby arrives or a parent needs more care. Our helper profiles are a good place to start if you are weighing up both options.
